Government intervention needed on Hajj and Umrah

The Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic communities held a meeting on the way forward on the regulations of Umrah and Hajj pilgrims.
This as the South African Hajj and Umrah Council’s(Sahuc) role has been brought into question as operators that handle pilgrims have fallen into disrepute amid complaints and issues that have been intensified in the last two years.
